To give you a quick re-cap:
- We bought the domain & hosting in December, 2018
- We did our keyword research in January, 2019
- We started monetizing the site in February, 2019
By the end of April, 2019 (check this post for all screenshots and data) the site made $106.96 and I spent $1404 USD for the site.
On April 31st, 2019, I was on a net loss of $1297.04.

I will be honest here. I actually went to England 3 times in last 3 months. I also did a small Europe tour to Czech Republic & Austria during this same phase. You have seen it all if you are following me on Instagram.
So work has been slow (don’t blame me).
Also, the main part of our business, our SEO service is taking a lot of my time which is another reason why things are a little slow.
I really should have done better with this site.
Having said that, it’s not a sad story either.
Let’s go month by month..
As I mentioned in Update 1, I didn’t have any plans to do SEO before September, 2019, so I kept things basic and simple.
I uploaded 0 articles in May (I am sorry). I did some basic on page and internal linking but to be really honest with you, I didn’t do much.

Of course, I would love to take the conversion to 6-7% but 4.01% is not bad for an Amazon site.
The earnings in April was $38.56 so it is an ok-ish Jump. What do you think?
Thankfully, I did some work in June, 2019. I uploaded 4 articles to the site (4000 words in total) and again, basic on page SEO.
I am still allowing the site to grow naturally.

Alright, so the earnings are a bit lower than what it was in May, right? However, the traffic is actually better in June than what it was in May.
I think it is a normal progression. The site actually received more traffic in June than what it received in May.
As the difference is small, I wouldn’t worry about it at this point.
6 Month Report of the Site
We started the site in Jan, 2019 and we just finished June, 2019. Let’s do a quick overview of what happened during these past 6 months.
Are we actually going in the right direction?
As you can see, from January-June, 2019,
- We spent: $1380 USD
- We made: $192.39
Net Loss: $1187.61 USD

Like any business, we are losing money as we are constantly trying to grow the brand. The site isn’t making much though, however, I am confident that it will change during the last part of this year or early next year.
I plan to break even at around December, 2019 or sometime 2020 (if I become super lazy which might happen).
Plan for The Next 6 Months
As the site now have a decent number of articles, I think we are ready for marketing & promotions.
I will be focusing on two marketing vehicles at this point:
- Organic Google Traffic
I already have a solid system to rank well on Pinterest and get traffic from there. At this moment, I don’t have a great Pinterest profile for this site, which hopefully will change in next couple of months.
I consider myself good at SEO, so it shouldn’t be very difficult for me to rank the site for key terms.
Before we start our SEO effort, you should know that the site already ranks well for some keywords without any off page work (I did solid on page for most articles).
According to Semrush, we already rank for 714 keywords and many of them are on page 1 (low volume keywords as per our keyword research study).
My goal would be to at least 5X it during next 6 months. So essentially, by December, 2019, I would want to have 4000+ keywords ranking according to Semrush.
I am not sure if we can break into $500/month within December, 2019 but I am hopeful.
